As per the CDC, nearly 70% of Americans suffer from obesity or are overweight! According to the World Health Organization nearly 60% of the world’s population will have obesity and/or type 2 diabetes by 2030. The human suffering and financial costs are staggering.

During this four-hour course participants will discover an in-depth understanding of the current state of nutrition, functional medicine physiology and, how to effectively correct your physiology using all aspects of food.

Dagmar Ehling has used an integrative approach of Chinese medicine, nutrition, functional medicine for over 30 years and in this interactive course she shares her clinical pearls of what works and what doesn’t for the vast majority of her patients.

A case history will demonstrate how carefully selected foods and proper meal timing can successfully treat complex conditions.

NICE TO MEET YOU

Hi, I'm Dagmar Ehling

I have been a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine in New Mexico for 33 years. I graduated with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM, am North Carolina State licensed, and I am nationally certified in Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine). In 1994, my book The Chinese Herbalist’s Handbook was published; I am the author of several articles. In 2004, I co-founded Oriental Health Solutions, now called Meridian Health Solutions in Durham, NC.

For many years, I was a faculty member at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine, served as a New Mexico State License examiner, and on the NCCAOM Exam Development Committee for the national Chinese herbal certification exam. I am a former fellow and exam chair of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), and a certified GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) practitioner. I studied functional medicine with Datis Kharrazian, PhD since 2008 and was one of the first acupuncturists credentialed at Duke Integrative Medicine. I taught Chinese herbal medicine and nutrition to physicians in Germany and Italy for a decade, and lecture nationally, internationally, and online.

My patients experience results for women’s health issues, internal medical problems, metabolic disorders, respiratory, auto-immune and hormonal imbalances, and my cancer patients have fewer side-effects from their conventional treatments. I offer online lifestyle coaching using dietary recommendations, supplements, homeopathy, and Dr. Schüssler's trace mineral salts.

The food you pointed out to me was killing me! I feel so much better having eliminated it. My joints are all lubricated, not sticky and cranky. Stomach pains completely gone – no gas and bloating – a miracle! I had to see my internist yesterday, and I have lost 5 lbs since April and my blood pressure, which was 130/74 then is now 100/72 (could that be related??). Thanks!!

Greetings from a former patient: You may recall that I came to see you for multiple (5) miscarriages and you successfully helped me get pregnant with twins, then carry them to term. My family moved out of state shortly after the twins were born. We were SHOCKED about a year later to find ourselves pregnant with our fourth child -- even more surprised that the pregnancy worked. You broke the miscarriage pattern by teaching me all about nutrition and how to eat well so my body could sustain a pregnancy! I still can't believe I went from unexplained infertility to mom of four. I hope you're doing well, and I continue to have very fond memories of you and your work helping to create our wonderful family.
